Lessons learned...

During my unemployed period earlier this year, I spent alot of time watching tv like any good unemployed person would do. And one of the perks I got out of that was being able to get tickets to the Conan O'Brien 10th Anniversary show taping.
They had asked viewers to email in ticket requests to a particular email address a coupla months ago and those chosen would receive a confirmation email. So I was quite excited when I received the confirmation email a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, I LOST the email last week due to a freak Mail mishap that wiped out my inbox. So I called the NBC ticket office on Tuesday to make sure if it was ok that I didn't have a printout of the confirmation email. The guy I spoke with said it was fine. However, I called them again today to double-check once more and the woman I spoke with pretty much said I was SOL. To say that I'm annoyed would be the understatement of the year. *sigh* Guess I'll have to wait for his 15th Anniversary show. So what'd I learn in this debacle?
  1. Don't create two accounts with the same email address in Mail.
  2. If anything needs to be printed out, print it out as soon as possible.
  3. Never reconfirm anything at the last minute. Do it at least a day before.
